Until then, we can keep bombing ISIS and probably eventually force them to recede. Might take a few more wars in a few more countries to get to this point now that ISIS has allies in so many countries and has so many places to go. Libya is apparently their next hot spot.

Maybe we'll destroy ISIS and see a reduction in terror attacks. Eventually, a new group will rise up - probably a large part identical to ISIS, and we'll start seeing major attacks again. Of course then western governments will again try to reduce our right to privacy and rule of law and a bunch will succeed.

Just like the mass shootings in the US, the problem isn't going to go away until we do what has been obvious for so long.
