Suzuki went straight from the OHL to the NHL and as a 20 year old rookie was on pace for 47 points. Then in 10 playoff games he played 19 minutes per game and put up 0.7 points per game.
I'd say he has #1C potential easily, and might be there as early as next season. It's not like he doesn't have the pedigree for it as a former 13th overall who torched the OHL at 1.7 points per game.
