Valimaki is the superior defender and has a much easier time managing the physical game compared to Kylington.
I'd also give him an edge on his vision and possibly passing skills as well. Always makes excellent exits from his own zone.
Kylington is by far the superior skater and has a pretty good shot, but that's about it.
AND, I'm saying all this being completely thrilled with Kylington's game at the NHL level. That's how good I think Valimaki is and will be going forward. Future top pairing d-man in the making.
