Rasmus was also a youth phenom that went PPG as a defenseman in the CHL during his draft year...

Swedish J20 Elite is between the CHL and Jr A. Most of the Swedish NHLers (including Backlund, Lindholm, and Kylington) play Swedish J20 until they are ready to play SHL or Allvenskan (or North American pro) full-time, which is usually 18 or19 years of age.

The USHL is a good comparable league skill-wise, where it's better than Canadian Jr A, but not quite as good as the CHL because the truly elite players get siphoned to college or the NHL by 18-19 years of age.
