Fans of visiting teams are always louder because it is their one chance a year to show their stuff. In reality, it makes them look like complete losers - if you are going mental for your team because it is your one big chance in the year to do so, all that shows is that you don't get out much (see: Rider fans).
And as someone said, fans in other buildings are not louder than Flame fans at the Saddledome. A Monday night game sounds the same in every Canadian city.
But 'away' fans are always going to be morons, thinking it is cool to do so.
