I'd agree about the first season, up until about the last three episodes.

I thought the second season was really strong.

You had the twilight of the apprentice arc which was awesome. The two episodes introducing Rex Some outstanding single episodes like the Honorable Ones, Princess on Lothal, Wings of the Master and Protectors of Concord Dawn. I mean the next two seasons knocked it out of the park, but season two was really good and really picked up steam.
