I got extremely lucky with my late mothers stuff. The flood of 2013 and 4 feet of water in the basement took all the stuff/junk my parents had been saving over the years. To her credit and my urging, she didn't replace anything and took the cash value instead.
Last August when my mother passed on, there was very little to clean up. All her clothing went to the Sally Ann and I sold all her sewing stuff to friends. All the pictures were claimed by family members. The furniture and all households items stayed we me as I took over residence of her home.
The Will part of her Estate should be done in a few weeks, thus ending my duties as Executor of her Will.
