The new train they have goes right to the Airport, only costs $2.75 a trip and stops right downtown so I'd probably avoid renting a car unless you're commuting outside of the downtown core (Car2Go makes sense though for in city driving).
The only thing I'd add that others haven't mentioned is the Experience Music Project (EMP) at the Seattle Center (where the Space Needle is at). It's only 20 bucks and there's some great memorabilia and the rooms where you can go rock out on the drums or guitar is always fun times.
Oh and you could always swing by the dope store and pick up a joint now that it's legal...
