Russell is one of the worst possession players in the entire league. He has pretty much only been useful for blocking lots of shots. Stone isn’t a perfect player either but he does have valuable attributes and isn’t a virtual lock to cough up possession any time he’s got the puck on his stick.
No desire to see Russell or that contract on the Flames, and severely doubtful he even cracks the top 6.
