Read up on this a bit. This will enable me to connect to a plex server I have running, from within Kodi to use as a client/player, correct?
So I would still need to be running a server on something, like the pi? If the pi will run it well enough.

Not sure there is value in Plex vs Kodi anyway, or is there? I suppose this has been debated at length all over the internet lol. I currently am using Aeon Nox as skin for my media library, and connected to a hard drive attached to router as SMB. I use a VPN and do download some media that is transferred wirelessly to this hard drive and then available to all devices on the network. Aeon Nox is a very nice skin, and though media rich is still light enough that my firesticks seem to handle it alright.

I dunno, except for the purposes of a to-do project, if there is any real value in running the plex server.
