Haven't had a change to dig into it, by are there any changes to the power consumption from the 3? I had a hell of a time finding a proper 2.4-3V adapter anywhere local when building my DAC. Relatively easy to find these adapters online though (just had to wait for a week) and I highly recommend buy an Anker or Aukey 5 port USB charger if you're not 100% sure you'll focus on the Pi Projects. It'll give enough juice for the Pi (when testing) allows multiple USB plugins and if not used for the PiProject you're working on, is still great for home use or travel use.
I still need to find a project for my PiZero and Pi2. I'm leaning towards low power VPN for the PiZero and maybe portable Karaoke for the Pi2.
