We’re only a month away now from the start of the games (curling and ski jumping will technically start on the 8th of February), so I figured I’d start a thread where we can discuss storylines leading up to the games. With time zone issues, Russian doping, and a lack of NHL players it’s understandable for anyone to have a diminished level of excitement leading into these games compared to past Olympic years, but I personally can not wait! How is everyone else’s excitement level for next month’s event?

Anything in particular you’re looking forward to and excited to watch? For me, it’s Women’s hockey, short track speed skating, and the snowboard events, all events that’s Canada is very capable of doing incredibly well in.
