Yea, IMO it was a complete BS penalty, a "racing incident" as they say. Vettel had lost control on the snap oversteer entering the first right hander. He never had control of the car until he was about half way across the track as he left the grass. We need to remember that the cars are going about 160kph at that spot and there is really no chance to collect and control an F1 car on grass.

Vettel also did manage to leave Hamilton room. Sure Hamilton had to back out a bit, but that is racing. Vettel did not force him into a wall, left him room, and certainly didnt gain any advantage. Had Hamilton picked the inside line (he had the choice since he saw Vettel lose it going into the first right), he would have sailed past Vettel and we'd all be crowing about Hamilton getting Vettel to crack again (which he did).

Its too bad, because that was a wonderful race, battle for P1 + P2, P4 - P6 was tight, Stroll had a great first stint on those medium tires. Haas blows chunks. But all anyone is going to talk about is Vettel getting jobbed.

I'll update the standings shortly...
