Hawkeye and Widow fighting to make the sacrifice was awkward since it was kind of funny, then very suddenly very sad.

If Iron Man could nab the stones and make his own makeshift gauntlet to snap the enemies to dust, could that not have just been done in IW? He surely would've been willing then, too.

Hawkeye and Widow have always used humor to deflect from serious situations though, and neither wanted the other to sacrifice themselves for them. I felt that part was quite well done


The only reason Tony was able to grab the stones this time around was because he designed the new gauntlet, so he was able to do a nanotech steal. He had no such control over Thanos' original gauntlet
