Last year we went out and cut down our own. It was lots of fun. I can't remember where you go to get the permit, but it costs about $5. Pack some cookies, hot chocolate and an axe, then head out to the bush. I think we went somewhere near De Winton. My wife got a sweet video of me six feet up in a tree, chopping the top off with a hatchet. Great fun!
