I have had a fake one with lights built in for about 5 years. Great purchase - you take it out of box, "re-mold" branches, and you are rocking. Got mine from Crappy Tire, and it has been great - possibly the exact same one.
Did you even read those "bad reviews"? One idiot couldn't figure out how the lights work, and the other barely even tried it out.
