You can set up virtual monitors for work. I work with a couple software engineers who regularly write code in VR. You can also do some virtual exercise classes or social experiences (movies, chats, animations/flights) with friends. Personally, I'm on the edge between VR being dumb and thinking it would be fun to watch a Flames game in VR with some friends or
learn to play guitar in XR.
I'm thinking of getting a Quest3. A friend who works in the space told me that he Apple headset is better in every way but I don't want to spend that much money.
