You don't throw away potential so quickly, especially when you witness flashes of it.
Bennett does have a lot of skill, and that skill comes with speed, a non-stop motor and a tonne of grit. Has he had problems translating his game to the NHL? Yes, at least consistently.
He has also improved quite a bit of his game, including his defensive acumen. That gives me hope he becomes a well-rounded player you can play in any situation down the road.
What I think is Bennett's worst enemy is his confidence. He is still very much a kid and I think he suffers from confidence issues from time to time.
I am sure this thread will be resurrected in a few years and we can have a good laugh at how impatient some people are.
