I think where you play has a ton of influence on the amount of bounce you should have. High bounce is useful if you're playing a softer fairways/sand like the carolinas or florida. Around here, I find high bounce to make you skull a lot when you play open-face shots because the ground is so hard. And most sand around here doesn't make high bounce necessary either.
