Our neighborhood is going through an issue that requires some discussion amongst residents. Information has to be shared and is currently being done via people replying to previous emails.

It's getting chaotic as people are inadvertently leaving people off emails (as they're replying to out of date).

Does anyone have any recommendations for mailing list software that:

- is free
- would let users self exit the list

I've thought about something like a Google Groups, but I'm not sure people actually want to sign up and go to a website. They like their email.
