If that happens will be interesting to see what happens with the Colorado Eagles (ECHL) and Denver Cutthroats (CHL).
Cutthroats are currently an Avalanche affiliate, and if the leagues merge I would expect one of the Eagles or Cutthroats to fold.

Looks like it will be the Cutthroats. There's some rumblings going around that the Cutthroats and Sundogs will be announcing they are ceasing operations as soon as Wednesday morning.
