Setting Ovechkin's achievement into the current context, the only active player who is within an achievable distance of one day reaching the 600-goal mark is Sidney Crosby. He is 32-years-old, and 142-goals short. (Patrick Marleau has 561, but he would probably have to play until he is 43-years-old to get there.)
