The US are working on a bid for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The FIFA president has already said that the travel ban puts that bid at risk. Iran, for instance, are a decent team who have qualified for past tournaments. If you can't even guarantee that participants will be allowed in the country, that seems like a big black mark. The same applies for all future sporting events as an example. Why should anybody plan on hosting international events in the US right now?
