Sorry if I missed it, do they only get paid for times when they play? How often do they play for team USA? Like the Canadian women, most of these players have other jobs and/or play for club teams right?
This doesn't sound like it is comparable to the US women's soccer complaints where it is my understanding that they are paid a pittance compared to the US Men's team, yet are far more profitable.
I'd have to imagine the US women's hockey team isn't exactly raking in the dough.
