They also don't have a way setup to collect GST. It is the driver's responsibility to remit it. How many do you think do that, or are even aware of it? The reason Uber is cheaper is becuase they are breaking all sorts of laws.

Supposely Uber is suppose to cover liability in case of accident to up to 5million dollars.
