This makes no sense.

If you're casting this as a situation with "two sides", then you are by definition lumping in Hamas and the terrorists who are currently intentionally targeting civilians in with the Palestinian "side"... they're certainly not on Israel's side. In which case, the side with the terrorists is the wrong side.

If you're not lumping in those terrorists with other Palestinians, and not simplifying the situation into one with just two sides, it's not hard to figure out which side to take: the side of the people fighting the terrorists who are intentionally targeting civilians.
