Does he have a role on this team? Absolutely. He is a 3rd line RW with some good ole truculence in his game. We need one and he is one...whats the problem with that? Cant pay him more than that "hoping" he will pop and become something more than he is though. You have to pay him for what he is..because what he is is what he himself has shown himself to be.

Some people have different view points and that is okay too. I think he has some good intangibles, but most have accepted that never live up to his draft billing. Sam can still be an important part of the team "if paid accordingly". Nothing wrong with those that hold out hope.
