Thats great and all but if you read the original post he was
not willing to give him a written estimate, he was saying it was $600 and that is that. To me that is not good enough, I would expect the person to get at least 3 quotes or get his insurance company to estimate it and send me a bill. I would not just go on what the guy tells me it would be.
Let me guess you are so trusting you would lend the guy your car until his was fixed right?
I guess THAT is MY perspective on how I would deal with it when handing out money to strangers on their word.
