Yeah, Robert the chef had such a look of glee on his face when Gordon was laying into Peter he looked like someone just told him he won the lottery.

The first show certainly does seem pretty sensational compared to the British series they show on Food TV with all those fights and threats of violence and so forth. I wonder if its going to continue or Fox just wanted to kick the series off with a bang. I also miss the part where Ramsay shows up for a surprise meal a few weeks later. I wish they would have left that part of the show in. I'm guessing they probably had time constraints.

I think the fights had more to do with Peter's roid rage. Why the heck would Peter think that Gordon needed someone to stand up for him if he was being talked to in a disrespectful manner?
And I don't think they specifically said on the show but did that one guy
actually repo Peter's car?
The part that bothered me most about the US show vs the UK show was that it seemed like the problems were solved by Gordon/FOX buying them a new kitchen. In the UK, it doesn't seem like problems were solved by throwing money at them.
