Different environments evolve different beings, thus I agree, two arms legs eyes etc are unlikley in the way we know them. Every species we have ever examined comes from one planet. Until we can examine some other life forms that evolved on another planet, we can only guess as to the make up of others.

Their out there for sure. I think it's niave to think that there is nothing else out there. We are a speck of dust in the scheme of things.

Why would an advanced race want to visit us anyway? What do we have to offer them? If they can traverse light years in space, there is no reason for them to want to have anything to do with us. We would be primitive to them, somewhat like ants in one specific ant hill are to us.

The topic of using a black hole for space travel isn't a new one, although at this point in time it's a pipe dream.

You can't travel faster than light according to Einstein, but if you bend space you may be able to traverse great distances in short periods of time. If that is not possible, then I doubt any seperate races will ever encounter each other. Nearest star to the Sun is 4.3 light years away!
