I know many here are Wheel of Time fans so this is obviously a sad day.
Robert Jordan had been battling cardiac amyloidosis for the past year but he unfortunately succumbed to the illness today.
I've grown slightly less interested as the series has gone on but I've still read the entire series at least 4 times through (excluding the last few books that I've only read once or twice).
It has already been mentioned that Jordan made detailed plot outlines and that a team of writers will still finish the final book in the series using those outlines and his notes. Unfortunately, it just won't be the same - I've been reading this series for over a decade and it's incredibly depressing that Jordan passed away just prior to writing the final book.
