The MX lookup error means that your email provider was unable to find an email server for the address you provided - this means either the company doesn't have an email server (unlikely one would think), the company's email server doesn't have the correct public address so other email servers can find it (also unlikely) or you sent the message to an invalid address (by far the most likely). i hear you, but not only had i plenty of correspondence with the person earlier, but it was simply a reply to message. the address had to be correct, right?

odd case, never seen that type of error.
