I don't mind speeders if they do it when traffic and road conditions allow it. I hate the tailgaters when I'm already over the speed limit. The funny thing about tailgating is that if traffic slows or stops in one lane, the tailgater is stuck behing the car in front of him while a driver who allows room has time to change lanes. It seems to me that common sense, courtesy and skill has gone out the window in Calgary, not to mention knowledge of the rules, whether written or unwritten. I kinda speed when on my motorcycle on country two lane highways, no tailgating, but often cars will pull over and let me go on. That way if I screw up, they're not involved. Courteous and showing common sense.
