Metatags and xml are the future. Ignoring your file structure is an odd workflow that even I have trouble working with. Realistically, you should be able to work without ever touching (Vista)Windows Explorer/(OS X.4)Finder with the advent of indexed files and live searching.

That being said, iTunes is a pig on Windows.

Calling it unfriendly is not really fair. Trying to use iTunes in a manner for which it was not intended and then saying it sucks is unfair as well. It is what it is.

You can call me an Apple Fanboy if you want but I have had numerous Apple products and every time I had an issue with one, it was fixed at no cost to me with a minimum of hassle whether it was under warranty or not.
Meh, maybe my computer literacy isn't that high, so I don't really know how to work around old habits. All I'm saying is I personally don't really like how itunes works. Maybe I'll get used to it in the future or something, but as of right now I find it is an annoying program to work with.
