Second, what exactly is urban about Deerfoot? Other that it happens to run through the city, it is highway speed limit, highway interchanges, it actually is a highway, and there are no traffic lights. What makes it urban in your mind?

I drive the entire length of deerfoot daily(beddington to seton), sometimes more then once, both ways. I am pretty sure inside the city limits along that path there is not a single sign that says slower traffic keep right, but since its been brought up i'll have to pay special attention to it next trip.
As for speeding, go for it, and as much right as you have to proceed at the speed you want so do I. Why should someone going 110 in the left lane have to move over to the right lane and slow down to 100 there just so you don't have to slow down behind them???
I usually drive around 110-115 on deerfoot. I don't have a problem moving over for people but if it looks like i'd have to click off the cruise control to let you pass me and you've decided to ride my ass til i move over, then you'll just have to wait til there is a larger gap in the middle lane for me to move over too. Courtesy works both ways, you'd like me to move over, i'd like you to stop riding my ass. Give and you shall recieve.
