It was a good matchup and people were all hyped up for it. Just turned out to be a blowout.. blowouts happen.
Besides.. the opening game on a thursday night isn't really the marquee game.. the big ones all year will be on Sunday Night. That's where you'll get your divisional rivalries starting with Giants-Cowboys.

I wasn't afraid of anything. Besides picking Indy in my pool, I could of cared less who won. I don't bet that often. Thought maybe the over under was a bit low. But woudn't you know it? The odds makers allmost had it dead on. Scary how often that happens. I also openly wondered which Colts run D would show up. The one during the regular season that inspired opponents to go for it on 4th down? Or the one that gave the Colts the Vince Lombardi trophy? Looks, so far, like the run D is fine. Either that or the Saints run game needs some serious work.
How can you not call last nights game the marquee game? They purposly single it out to start three days before the rest of the league starts on the following Sunday. They advertise the heck out of it. Have a huge kickoff party with all sorts of musical talent. If that isn't supposed to be a showcase game? I don't know what is.
