Boo ya! As good as Giamatti is in Sideways he was propably better in last years American Splendor. I am glad you liked it Kermit. Giamatti really had to do an outstanding performance as Peakar because of the fact they used the real Peakar's voice for voiceovers and live narrartion throughout the movie.. how frreakin hard is that? American Splendor is one of those movies I hyped up pretty big on this messagebooard, and I am still glad - despite my hype -- that you still loved it.
I hope Paul Giamatti continues to get meaningful lead roles, his perfromances in American Splendor and Sideways proves beyond a shadow of a doubt he is one of the better actors out there working today. Even his smaller roles in THe Negotiator, Man on the Moon and Saving Private Ryan have been top notch quality.
