I get the feeling that this dude's idea of what constitutes picking up a chick is somewhat different than most peoples.

I imagine it goes something like this:

"Hey, nice shirt...he he he"
"Really? Thanks, it does make me look pretty studly"
"Oh yeah...he he...for sure"
(Silently to self) "SCORE"
