A few maps for multiplayer with some downloadable ones coming would have been fine by me, i know metroid is alot more about puzzles and environment, but its still a shooter and the option to frag some real people would have been a nice addition. I have not played a lot on line, but Mario Strikers Charged played online quite nicely (although I'm not a big fan of the game) so I know the Wii can do it well.
I guess I'm stuck waiting for a Rainbow 6 or Ghost Recon to be released on the Wii.

If you played multiplayer Metroid Prime: Hunters on the DS, you would understand that multiplayer (online or offline) is a throwaway component to the Metriod series.
As for Wii online FPS multiplayer, there is a new Medal of Honor Game coming out for the Wii called "Medal of Honor: Heroes 2", which will have up to 32 player online multiplayer with Wii controls. Turn speed will be adjustable with a sensitivity option
IGN just did a hands on and was impressed by the controls in the game, saying that so far it is on par with Prime 3's control, though they acknowledged they would need more time to come to a full conclusion
