Very correct Alberta Natural Gas production peaked in 2002 and the US a long time ago. However only in Eurpope and North America is Natural gas worth so much. In most third world countries they just flare off associated gas at oil wells because the cost of capturing it and taking it to market far exceeds the price they're able to recieve. However with increasing LNG projects worldwide gas prices are going to rise while domestic prices will fall as worldwide producers will be able sell into the North American and European markets.
