The funny thing is, this TV will perform better than most of the pricepoint stuff you can buy today.
You will have trouble finding a better set today to watch sports in HD. Plasma and LCD technologies can't compete with the response time of what is essentially a CRT monitor. The problem is, is there such a thing as bad HD?
Price? Thats a tough one. I'd say keep it under 500.
To me, I could much more easily rationalize eating $450 bucks if it came to that. That set could become a big paper weight or could be an amazing deal for a few years.
We have the 57hx83 and love it. Wife watches 'So you think you can sing' and csi endlessly it seems.
