Ya I picked this up last night as well, and I love the controls, it looks great - seems pretty halo-ish to me... I'm not a big fan of scanning things, but I have not played Metroid since Super NES so from a "new to this" perspective its a blast... I played through to the first planet you visit and it was a lot of fun.

I was saying yesterday that if this was as good as Resident Evil 4 then I was in. I'm glad I picked it up - they both excell in the fun factor!

In Resident Evil 4 there is no scrolling, you don't really miss it once you start playing but when I first picked it up I was like "how can you have a shooter and no scroll" it really becomes a non-issue as you get used to the controls.

In Metroid there is no 180 degree turn button... you have to turn around by pointing your Wii controler to the edge of the screen and it takes longer than I'd like... but again I don't think it will be an issue...

Anyway if you own a Wii and don't have both these games give your freakin head a shake and go buy them now. I'm not even a big FPS fan I just really enjoy the Wii mote bieng point and click crosshairs... and I have owned or played both Halo's and they (imho) have nothing on these games... although I will say a big part of that is due to the controls, the Wii mote and nun-chuck combo is just too much fun!
