Not sure I follow. Registration is independent of insurance, is it not? I've changed insurance companies without amending my registration (I think). What's the hold up with getting the registration taken care of?
You get 90 days to register your vehicle in Alberta if you're establishing residency in Alberta. That's the only grace period I was able to find (s. 48.1 of the
Operator Licensing and Vehicle Control Regulation).
