Here's a dumb question. Is it necessary to have an electronic air filter on 24/7? I would think there's no need to run it during the summer months when your furnace is hardly operating.

But I really don't know and haven't been able to find an answer on-line. I do know it's recommended to change the filters approximately once a month.
