How's this for a topic we'll never agree on
Going to have to disagree with you Ro, I thought KB1 and particularly KB2 were far too over hyped. I've had this debate with friends - if you took all the blood and gore out of Tarantino's movies, would they get half the hype they do now? Doesn't he use violence as a crutch to take him from OK to hype?
I've always though that there are movies for entertainment (Harold and Kumar)and movies for artistic value. (Thin Red Line) Which is why we get such varying tastes.
I'm glad to see that neither F911 or Passion got nominated too much. Neither did much for you if you didn't subscribe to to their faiths. My favorite one-line review of Passion was from a Toronto newspaper review who called it "Fundamentalist Pr0nography"
I did see Finding Neverland. Good movie (artistic) but I don't know if it had the oomph to propel it to Best Picture status. Fellas, I will say that if you need a good Valentine's Day movie to see with the g/f or wife, pick this. Oh and bring Kleenex. Just a helpful public service announcement....
