Here is an idea, my mom and dad got divorced when I was little and both my parents mean a lot to me. A while back my mom gave me the engagement ring that my dad had given to her. Of course it didn't have sentimental value to her but to me it had huge value. The ring was kind of outdated so I took the main stone and used it in my wife's engagment ring.
