They could have shown you one price, $34. But if a customer saw that, then went to the restaurant they may complain about the difference, not aware the room service one included the tip and delivery fee. "well it should say that somewhere" then would be the response, which is why it is there, somewhere.
I'm all for an all in price that pays workers fairly, but while we have this dumb gratuity thing, they have to manage it somehow.
Or is your complaint the room service burger should also be $24? I guess I'm not clear on what part is the issue for you. Not being able to decide the tip and delivery fee? Or that their should be neither?
