When you look at AHL coaching, you might look at the team record but it is dwarfed in importance by player development. Conny said as much in hiring Huska who had a terrible record as coach in the AHL and even wiped quipped that he liked how Huska didn't mind losing if it helped players get better. (And people thought this wasn't a rebuild from day 1...)
As for Sutter, I have no idea if he's doing a good job or not, but the call ups have been consistently good. Give the guy a chance with a fresh roster next year.
Also, there's no room in our developmental pipe line for AHL vets. Hope that practice of signing these guys ends immediately.
