We just saw him on a team with ample support and he still faded when it mattered. Other players created the most crucial goals in the elimination games.
I think he just has a ceiling and it's directly influenced by how much pressure there is.
He's excellent below that ceiling. But objectively speaking I don't think you can call a player with that cap the best in the game.
Some oilers fans will be offended by that, but bold claims come with scrutiny. And their shills love dishing them out.
