It's a little more complex than that. They lost three games last week 2-0, 4-0, 4-1. You could have the best defense in the history of the NHL and lose all three of those games. Also their team SV% is .881 which is identical to the Oilers and they don't have a historic powerplay to offset poor goaltending. For a variety of reasons they have been a mediocre/bad team this season.
